Me 30 pounds lighter
The Diet
Just before we moved from Seattle, I heard about the
hcg diet from a friend's chiropractor. But we were busy packing, so I did not have time to think about it. Later, I started seeing friends on facebook and some blogging friends, tell about their success.
I started doing some research on line, including some medical people that I respect. I called a few friends who had done the diet. I decided that it was the right diet for me and my lifestyle.
The hcg diet requires every meal to be cooked from scratch, and you do it in 21 day day increments. So I looked at my calendar and found a quiet 21 days and ... went for it.
I love this diet. The food is good. You are never hungry. And the weight comes off quickly. It also has a good maintenance plan, which is essential for me.
Nutritional Support
I took a lot of supplements to support my body during the process.
Losing weight releases a lot of toxins into your body, so I wanted to support my liver. I took NuSkin Detox and drank a gallon of water every day.
I absolutely would not do the hcg diet without these supplements. (just my opinion)
Note:If you would like to place a monthly automatic order for these products, and get them at wholesale, you can contact my friend, Marshall Brand. (952.897.0544) Tell him Glenda sent you.
Emotional and Spiritual Support
I was also interested in pursuing the emotional and spiritual side of overeating. I studied a great series (book and video) Made to Crave. It is so well done.
Well, that is my story. If you have any questions, feel free to e.mail me.
ps. Later this year I will start another round and work on the last 20 pounds. I cannot wait.

Way to go on losing weight! You look great! I bet you feel good, too.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds very interesting to me. I've heard here and there about this HCG thing. However, you lost me at "cooking from scratch everyday", lol! Cooking is not my strong point!
I need to do something, though! I am on a beta blocker for high blood pressure. I was supposed to be losing weight, but darn it, those pills actually ended up putting MORE weight on me! It is great for lowering heart rate, lowering blood pressure (mine is finally normal) but it also lowers metabolism, and voila...an extra 10lbs! I will be researching this some more! Thanks for your post!
30 pounds?!! That's LOOOOADS!! Well done, you!
ReplyDeleteIt feels a bit funny reading about losing weight because I've been piling it on...now I'm PREGNANT!! Eeeek!!

Thanks for your encouraging post Glenda! I am so glad you chose 21 Day HCG to help you on your journey! I also love the book "Made To Crave"! I am excited for you as you tackle the remaining pounds!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Glenda. I read Made to Crave last year. I deeply respect the author. I have never heard of the diet you mentioned. Will do some research!
ReplyDeleteYou look great, Glenda! I recently lost 55 pounds; a pound a week for a year. When my doctor got me off of prednisone, it made it possible to lose weight, so I just ate less of everything. Anything I want, but less of it. I also take supplements since our American diet is lacking in so much. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteYou look Fabulous Glenda
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to jump start the New Year
